<p>Student Book Club packets are due by end of class Tuesday, May 8th.  We will compare the movies of two of our books with the books we read in class.  We will view Sarah, Plain and Tall and Maniac Magee.<br />
Don&#8217;t forget that SPRING STING is Friday!</p>
<p>MCCANN-Mathematics</p>
<p>This week we will still be working with integers.  In addition to adding and subtracting. We will be multiplying and dividing them.  There will be a test on Thursday.  All make-up work needs to be turned in by Wednesday.</p>
<p>Computers</p>
<p>Students will take a typing test on Thursday this week.  In addition to typing, students will create a movie trailer for the book they have been reading in Mrs. B’s class.  Students will make an animoto, a 30 second movie, in which students will need to gather pictures and put them on the their flash to create their movie trailer.</p>
<p>THOMAS-  </p>
<p>SIEH-8th</p>
<p>DEHART &#8211; 7TH- FINISH CHAPTER 17-THE EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN, CHAPTER 17 TEST FIRST OF THE WEEK,STUDENTS WILL CONTINUE THE WEEK COVERING CHAPTER 18-THE ARABIAN PENINSULA IRAQ &amp; IRAN. </p>
<p>8TH- CONTINUE KEN BURNS-THE CIVIL WAR, TEST OVER 1860-1861 FIRST OF THE WEEK AND CONTINUE THE WEEK WITH 1862 AND MAJOR BATTLES OF VIRGINIA &amp; TENNESSEE.  </p>
<p>DUNIVAN-   </p>
<p>OKESKY- 7th grade Math<br />
Students will be solving multi step equations with variables on both sides. Students will also use the distributive property to solve multi step equations. All make up work must be turned in/or made up by Thursday, May 10th. Remember&#8230;Spring Sting is this Friday.</p>
<p>8th grade math<br />
Students will be multiplying and factoring polynomials this week. Tuesday 8th graders will visit NGA. Wednesday we will have a test over writing polynomials in standard form, adding, subtracting and multiplying them. All make-up work must be turned in no later than Thursday, May 10th. Remember&#8230; Spring Sting is Friday, May 11th.</p>
<p>D.CASEY- </p>
<p>L.CASEY-  Eighth Grade<br />
I will be teaching the students how to use the website www.animoto.com to create 30 second videos. This is an awesome website I know the students are going to love this program. I have had a great year teaching the students different ways to use technology. I wish each one of them the best at NGA. I know they are going to make me proud. </p>
<p>Seventh Grade<br />
The students will finish typing their projects for Mrs. Dunivan at the beginning of the week. The students will be practicing their reading comprehension skills the remainder of the week. I have enjoyed having this great group of kids again this year.  I wish them the best of luck next year.</p>
